Lingo Song - English Learning App

As a developer and language enthusiast, I've always been fascinated by a simple fact: we can remember song lyrics from decades ago, yet struggle with vocabulary from a textbook we studied last week.

I decided to build a solution to this problem myself.

I'm excited to introduce Lingo Song, a personal project I've been passionately building. It’s an English learning app that harnesses the power of music to make learning feel less like a chore and more like a jam session.

Here's the core learning loop I designed for every song:

1. 🎧 Missing Word: First, you challenge your listening skills by filling in missing words from the lyrics. It’s a fun way to improve comprehension in context.
2. 🧩 Arranging: Next, you unscramble jumbled lines of lyrics. This is a cognitive workout I designed to help you intuitively understand English sentence structure.
3. 🎤 Singing: Finally, you perfect your pronunciation by singing along. I integrated an AI-powered speech recognition feature to provide instant, actionable feedback.

To make the experience complete, I also built in features like a competitive Leaderboard, a collectible Card Collection, and a personal Word Bank that acts as your digital vocabulary notebook.

This project was a fantastic journey in product design, UI/UX, and integrating APIs. I'm proud of how it turned out and would love to hear any thoughts or feedback from the community!
